Holocaust Remembrance Day Activity for Kids

As the world commemorated Holocaust Remembrance Day, or Yom Hashoah, on April 8, Queens Library at Astoria invited young library visitors to learn about the Holocaust. To remember and honor children who lost their lives as a result of this tragedy, we created butterflies, penning our favorite quotes about kindness on them.

I know there is not days or specific time to always remember them!
Anna Frank " El Diario de Anna Frank!" it is one of my favorite literature and an authentic child who really touch my heart and many others.
God bless them and be in peace..thank you for a beautiful exhibition!
Being good is a great message!

Happy Earth day everyone too!
April it is a month of a child, Autism, Remember them and many other things have happened as in Boston and 911!
And religious observance too!..!

Thinking of the book, "I

Thinking of the book, "I Never Saw Another Butterfly," about the internment of Jewish children and adults in the Nazi concentration camps, I think the idea to have modern children acknowledge the senseless loss of so many Jewish lives, a worthy endeavor. Butterflies are beautiful, to view and draw colorfully. The messages of our kids are fitting and should live on, so they never forget. and never allow such a thing to happen again!
